The Old Folks Home

Good advice hennible. Yeah, some type of scallop. They can be pan fried, grilled, steamed, sautéed, baked, or roasted. A lot depends on when you harvest them. I like small young ones steamed with other young tender veggies.
They go well with tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and cheese.

We had channel cat in our pond. Those and the ones that I catch in gravel bottom streams taste much better than those from big muddy rivers.
Yeah, the pond raised is the very best. I don't care for the river ones.

CC, just leave instructions to send your (cremated) remains to me in the mail and I'll make sure you are buried there. It will be a pet cemetery though. And be very clear about the cremated part in your testament. I don't want to dispose of a whole body.

It's a beautiful spot. Karin's parents bought the place in the early nineties during the recession, it was owned by some company. It's maybe 3-4 acres by the sea, mainly rock and forest. The house is maybe 1500 square feet and located on top of the cliffs, about 30 feet above the sea. You get a beautiful view from there. The pet cemetery is front of the house.

I don't have a better picture of the house itself, but here's a view from the sea.

It's the house in the middle of the picture, behind the trees.

Is that the cabin you talk about going to?

I'm trying to decide what to do with last night's catch. I guess, I'll grill the possum and feed it back to the chickens. Time to start a fire.
