That's Karin's parents place, out in the Hitis archipelago, south of Turku. We were there this weekend. Usually we go to my parents cottage which is a lot closer, about an hour away, south of Tammisaari. Is that the cabin you talk about going to?
I'm trying to decide what to do with last night's catch. I guess, I'll grill the possum and feed it back to the chickens. Time to start a fire.
Such beautiful country. That's Karin's parents place, out in the Hitis archipelago, south of Turku. We were there this weekend. Usually we go to my parents cottage which is a lot closer, about an hour away, south of Tammisaari.

Ah... too simple..... been using converting calculators.... one gallon of water is 8.34 pounds A twenty gallon tank would be 75.7 liters.... Therefore it would be 75.7 kilos. 20 gallons is 167 pounds.
What ever the measurement.... Support the the tank by setting the stand on a sheet of plywood to distribute the weight OFF of the four feet of the stand.... Each foot is supporting approximately 42 lbs.... Or 19 kilos.... Ok I am just doing inches from now on.
A twenty gallon aquarium is 30 inches long by 13 inches deep by 13 inches tall. Just the Aquarium by itself is 25 pounds if you get glass. So the stand is going to be a little bigger than the aquarium depending on what its made of... I usually put a piece of plywood that is an inch bigger than the foot print of the stand painted a neutral color.... For wood floors I would put a piece of carpet under the stand facing down... No scratches...

my house in the desert is built with a crawl space so when I do set up my 110 gallon tank I am going to have to get under there and measure the joist distances and make sure that tank has a base that spreads across joists. Its an odd construction... The main house WAS a tin sided Trailer..... Full sized of course a good twelve feet wide.... But Trailers are built on I beams made of almost 1/4 inch thick steel. I know I have seen them when they gutted the shower....
I have to redo the floor in the Main house.... they used OSB and not very good stuff to do the floors in my house.... when it gets wet it "expands".... The bathroom was so rotten the only thing keeping me from falling through was the linoleum.... The kitchen is a little better but the floor is Wavy.... Bathroom is rehabbed.... Next goes the kitchen.... When they do the kitchen I am having the whole main floor of the house done at the same time. We used 3/4 inch thick Marine grade plywood in the bathroom.... The rehab guy says that stuff is structurally strong enough to have 48 inches between joists....
