Peep, once you're older and wiser it's easier to know what you want. But I'm a bit worried when people get married at 18 or 19, that is a bit too quick in my opinion.

Mom and dad were married she was 18 and he was 21. they grew up together (after they married) Oh it had its ups and downs but they were together two years short of fifty years.... Dad passed when he was 69... heart attack.

Since the bird flu dramas, bringing birds from Asia to USA is impossible

I am so busy with just trying to maintain my flock that I really dont have a lot of time for project birds. Ii just seems a waste to be in Indonesia and not et them.

Where are they being shipped from? Do they have to pass quarantine?

I have heard that there are some breeders in Canada breeding Dutch Blood lines... Shipping from Indonesia is a no no... Big quarantine in the US on indonesian birds and eggs.

Those are most likely silkeys..... Yep Silkies are hiding that gene under all that fluff.... Not quite as dark as Ceminis but some are darker than others....

I figured it was impossible. There are a lot of countries, mostly SE Asia, Middle East and Africa that are no fly zones for poultry importation into the US.

And being busy is just a New York - "forget about it".

Mine were just laying eggs.
I did have 8 out of 9 Penedesenca pullets go broody in a community nest. It was a disaster. They had about 25 eggs between them. They kept stealing eggs from each other and eventually only one hatched and then they squabbled over who was going to show the chick food.

Those are small combs for broody birds. What breeds were they?

I carry my camera out with me often. It's amazing what you catch on film/card when you're prepared.
