Sounds exactly like my daughter. Son was a cuddler. Daughter hated to be hugged from the time she could walk.

Oooh Mescal.... I used to date a Mexican Fellow by the name of Frank Rodrigues.... I beilieve his family was from Oaxaca, originally but he grew up in Ohio.... His momma didnt speak English and my introduction to her was Sunday Brunch after they went to church. Nice large family Momma was the boss.... and in the middle of the table a teeny wine decanter with thimble sized cups ringing it. I was told that was after the meal.... And what a nice meal it was... Chicken Mole Poblano.... Home made tortillas to die for rice and Tea to drink.

When the dishes were cleared, I wasnt allowed to help because i was a guest, then the Mescal came out. The eldest brother pourd the glasses... OMG it tasted like a fire places smells and I could do no more than touch my tongue to it. Frank had to finish it for me....

Mole is a sauce made from Chiles and Chocolate it is NOT sweet by any means.

Love a good mole sauce.
I'm not really a fan of hard liquor but my favorite tequila is Herradura Anejo. That's something I can sip. It's hard to find around here. Very smooth but not overly expensive.
I work in a hospital and administration is trying to be calm about everything, including the nurse. Regardless of the outcome, I personally feel this is a great exercise in emergency preparedness - whether it's flu, a terrorist attack or a natural disaster. We all drill but additional practice and review never hurt anyone. Who would have thought you'd need a permit to remove Ebola waste, anyway, like they found out in Texas?

That being said most of the people I know, myself included, can't figure out why either side can't deescalate and compromise. I'd be pretty pleased if the CDC told me I couldn't leave my house for 21 days and someone would bring me takeout every night. As long as I didn't run out of fabric...
Good point on the preparedness. I think every time something new comes up it forces us to consider more eventual dilemmas.
Tracking the biological waste seems pretty important to me. That's as contagious as the carrier isn't it?

Stay home with pay.

But could I go outside to feed the chickens?

I'm in for it this weekend:

Periods of heavy snow. Winds will be gusty during the morning. Some sleet may mix in. Temps nearly steady in the mid 30s. Winds NNW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 80%. Snow accumulating 5 to 8 inches.

Okay opinions please....
I have two flocks of chickens and four ducks one of the flocks of chickens lives with the ducks...
Given my recent losses to mysterious predators I have been thinking about combining the flocks in the pen that's up against the house... There's a small pen (couple hundred square feet) and a coop 80 odd ft.²... Would be two roosters and one drake, 3 duck hens and 12 chicken hens....do you think they could live together?
It would also cut down my winter workload :D
Which of course I'm all for.

Are you getting rain Ron? Is Jason getting snow today?

We had rain through the day yesterday--It was good rain. Jason might get snow today--it is forecast for the Sierras. It depends on how low the snow level is.

Cal fire says we need several more storms like this to end the fire season though.

I like a 10 square feet per bird minimum, combined inside and outside as long as it is all secured. With 200sq' and 80sq' (280sq') you should be able to house 28 birds there, as long as none are particularly aggressive. You have 18, right?
