I think the current host does not have a limit on size. The old host, circa 2012 could not handle threads that got up to 80,000 posts or so. The Washingtonian thread was closed at 88,735 posts.

The Okies in the BYC thread is on their third one with the first two being closed.

We should be fine for years to come though!

I'm here! Thanks for missing me.

I went to the Ohio Nationals last Thursday. Spent the week prior to that getting ready (birds, vehicle, house cleaning, food for the guys while gone, etc.) Hit the ground running with catch up at home, work, and here on BYC. I was over 400 posts behind just on this thread! Unlike others, I do try to read every word of every post and have finally, just now, caught up.

I had a BLAST and there was just too much to comment on. I will share some of the adventure as it comes up, but there's no way I can cover it all in one post.

It's good to be back in "The Home."

Sorry it took me a couple of days but here are a few from my last hike a couple of weeks ago. I headed into the mountains near home for probably the last time this year. They are predicting snow tomorrow through Saturday so I am guessing the access roads to the trail heads will be closed for the season if they aren't already.

Oh wow Dsgard.... Is this the Sierra Nevadas? Looks as dry there as it is here.... Beautiful pictures all of them. I would have liked to do something like this on horse back.

Today it is not supposed to get over 40 degrees. I think the real cold is finally here for the season. Thank goodness SCG got me into sewing. I have a ton of projects going and planned. Yesterday I made the trip to JoAnn. They were having a big sale and were offering 20% off for Veterans. I think it is funny that the first time I "used" my veteran status was to get money off fabric.

I can't share these on FB because they are going to be gifts for relatives (well one for SCG but I already showed it to her). I made these yesterday. Had fun doing it too. The owl is for the grandbaby. DD has a woodland theme to her nursery. She went in for an ultrasound on Monday and was supposed to get a definite boy/girl status. Actually she was supposed to get it last month but the baby was going full on Cirque du Soleil and wouldn't hold still long enough. Monday the baby decided to keep it's legs crossed, wave and give thumbs up but not show the important "bits". She has now been told boy one time and girl one time by the technicians so the jury is still out. I find it amusing the baby is reluctant to reveal which sex it is. My daughter does not find this amusing.

These are pin cushions
Sonagrams are not fun.... when they did mine I had to have a full bladder..... Not fun at all.

I have never quilted but have spent many hours looking at quilting sites .... I have one of my great Grandmothers quilts. Made from flour sacks and little bits of this and that... ALL hand stitched in teeny eensy stitches... I dont have the patience to do that.... but have a decent machine....

when I was younger and still riding I used to make all my saddle pads and covers and bags and fleece nosebands Girth covers.... you name it If i could make it I would not buy it. Too much fun when someone complements your gear and you can say "I made that"...

Been there. Plenty of timers but no battery powered that has a relay to turn off an electrical device. If you run across one please rsvp?
Got a cool solar shop lite at harbor freight but only a pull string switch.

Check out the Christmas trim shops.... this time of year they put out all sorts of electronics that arent offered year round.

for instance a foot switch for the christmas lights. They are an excellent device for people who need a remote light switch. I have a friend who is severely arthritic in her hands she cant grip anything but she could use her palm or even a dowel to operat it.... I am giving her one for Christmas.
