We used to have it here till the streams dried up.... I used to skim off some and take it to my turtles... All sorts of little swimming critters come along with it. Some fish eat it too. When I get my Aquaponics up and running I will be getting some duck weeed from some where just for the little swimming critters. They are an excellent food source for baby fish.

Oh wow Dsgard....  Is this the Sierra Nevadas?  Looks as dry there as it is here....  Beautiful pictures all of them.  I would have liked to do something like this on horse back.

Sonagrams are not fun....  when they did mine I had to have a full bladder.....  Not fun at all.

I have never quilted but have spent many hours looking at quilting sites ....  I have one of my great Grandmothers quilts.  Made from flour sacks and little bits of this and that...  ALL hand stitched in teeny eensy stitches...    I dont have the patience to do that....  but have a decent machine....

when I was younger and still riding I used to make all my saddle pads and covers and bags and fleece nosebands Girth covers.... you name it If i could make it I would not buy it.  Too much fun when someone complements your gear and you can say "I made that"...

Deb when I still had horses I rode in the small mountains behind our house. It is not the Sierra Nevadas but mountain ranges in Utah. They are between the Rockies to the East, the Colorado Plateau to the south and the Sierra Nevadas to the west. Pretty country to be sure although I would happily move away from the winter weather.
I had to do my sonograms/ultrasounds with a full bladder too. Not to easy to do when you are pregnant.
You are more than welcome to join in with SCG and I in our "sewing circle" if two people make a circle. We do a bit of Skyping but pretty much email and FB pictures and questions about the projects we are working on other than the one we are working on together. We are getting ready to do a Christmas table runner if you want to join in.

Sierra nevada makes an excellent ipa called torpedo. Its my favorite beer. It will get ur head right quickly.....ok back to your regularly scheduled programming after a word from our(AA) sponsors....
