Today's menu was blinis with roe, smetana and onion for starters, the main course was reindeer with mustard cream sauce and baked cream potato casserole and green beans. Finnish with some Russian inspiration. I really like the food Karin's parents cook.
Strange times here, strange times. We have a new member to our flock. Her name is Ms. Clucker Doodle, a.k.a, "Clucky." So far, she hasn't laid any eggs, but then, she hasn't eaten anything, either. Don't know whether I should be worried or not.
She's made herself right at home;
In a way vaguely familiar, Clucky keeps turning up in different places . . . . .
(the cat has never seen chickens in the house before - I think it wants to see if it's edible)
Perhaps looking for a night-time roost?
I thought maybe she thought this looked like a nest but when she left - nope, no egg.
When she "borrowed" my DS's computer, he declared his room off-limits to chickens.
BB2K and I were in the first of three local parades last night, and Clucky went too (I'm sure Syd was very happy not to be included this year). Evidently Clucky enjoyed herself - here she is, ready to go again. The next parade isn't until tomorrow night, but (birdbrain that she is), Clucky evidently got mixed up on the dates.
