I haven't read the link yet.... But I feel for you and all Law enforcement.... I am a firm believer in innocent until proved.... and I absolutely HATE doing trial by public opinion.... Nancy Grace comes to mind. But the press are a bunch of idiots. It used to be Who What Where When Why... NO editorial... then in those days the editorials were reserved for the editors and an Opinion piece....
Now they are all full of opinion, speculation, spin doctoring, and Bottom line... "selling news" was a bad idea out of all bad ideas....
deb "off to go read"
read it now and i am crying.... I dont feel any of those things toward the police....
@Wisher1000 Did you see this police video yet? This was pretty nice.

That is great!Kid update: it was testicular torsion that ( we are so lucky ) corrected on its own! Crazy....
I've often wondered how having to deal with the dregs of society on a daily basis has an impact on one's outlook and dealing with their job....
Bless the police officerswho have to deal with the worst of the human race, and also some of the best - when neither is apparent at first look.![]()
It is a shame but the news does not cover humanitarian stories very often as the viewers want and thrive on violence! It is horrible but this kind of thing just feeds into a life of it's own. I can't hardly stand to watch the news because there is so much bad news that it is just to depressing to me. My grandfather was a police officer in Minn. MN. and he had trouble getting on the force and had to go to his birth town and change his mothers name and his birth date so that he could go into the army and join the police dept. due to peoples prejudice against Irish! They treated their dogs better than they did the Irish! It just breaks my heart that so many people in the communities help feed this hatred instead of trying to help calm the anger! Hang in there Wisher the good will prevail in the end! And God knows our hearts!Thank you for all the support, my friends, but it goes well beyond me. I didn't write the piece I first linked to. It is becoming more and more common for good people to give up on trying to do good because in the mainstream, the only voices heard are the cop haters.
The start of this story ran on my local news yesterday morning. Today I find this...

This happens all the time. I've done it twice, myself. No cameras, no credit, none wanted. I know of dozens of officers in my own department that have done the same with no thought of publicity or recognition. I am sure that other local stories like this are being aired all over the country, but they can't compete with the barrage of negative press a couple of tragic encounters have received. I wish (there I go again) that all of these local stories could be compiled and aired on National news one night.
The claim is that the video is being seen all over the world. Have any of you seen it before today?
I going to shut up about this, now.
