The Old Folks Home

Jem, sorry for your loss.

With plants I'm more fussy, I haven't had a garden before last summer, so that's been fun. Time to start next summers seeds soon.
I know I been chomping at the bit to get things growing again, have had to settle for what I have indoors and my greenhouse and setting up some new beds for spring :) argh I still need to haul about 48 more cinder blocks to finish my raised beds :) ty it's turned my world around n back again... anyways I keep getting stuff to do around here with the new house.. I want to build a dog house and set up the kennel., set up the archery range area, and build a chicken feed storage bin my coop was the first thing I built all proper like I am hoping the dog house and storage bin work out as well for me :) ohh and I want to do a convention air flow heater thingie for the greenhouse for next winter.........I harvested my strawberries and tomatoes this week from there I didnt make it to christmas like I wanted to for my goal but I did get fresh tomatoes and strawberrys in december :) with a lil more planning and prep think I can get my greenhouse working thru the winter on a frugal budget :)

I have never had an egg zip more than an inch. Ive watched several that pip and then "incredible hulk" out of the shell within a few minutes

lol I just imagined a a green chick hulking its way out lol

Jem, I'm trying to keep myself from planting the seeds until February, but I'll probably cave in January already.
I have had some awesome luck with indoor growing and the T5 lights are economical and vegitate the plants very well I have some bloom bulbs coming in sometime this week and I will see how they do and letcha know....I have had indoor basil growing same plantys since last november and we have been eating it heavily all year I have it growing in aquaponics system I made for indoor herbs the two goldfish have fed us hundreds n hundreds of dollars worth of herbs :) and for that light I just used a under cabinet light and put a plant bulb in it,, then it's easy enough to grab clippings off stuff and clone them for the garden.. I found the clones started producing and providing faster then the seedlings.. of course my mother plants were started by seed first

I don't have a greenhouse, and I don't have that much space inside for plants, so I can't start them too soon because I'll run out of space. I need to time it so that they can be moved outside when they start gaining size.
