I am bidding on ebay eggs

8 hours to go

The only thing I could find that mildly interested me... cream legbar, sulmtaler and FBCM set. It was between that and the cream legbar/orphingtons set from the same seller. I need dual purpose (although I will process and eat banties).

If I win there's also some buy it now white leghorns that can ship at the same time, then my incubator will be full.

I want to hatch a few more showgirls but the ones on ebay I wasn't particularly enamored with. And I have a hard time justifying to myself to buy "lawn ornaments" instead of functional breeds.

Never had a hangover. Went to town and sold an incubator to a nice couple from Florida. He was clearly not happy with her chicken habit...I started naming off the breeds that we have and her eyes started twinkling. She started asking about getting chicks and her husband went to the car. Thenn she started showing me pics of her grandkids. Then she told me her life story. Her husband tooted the horn about 3 times before she left. Old people are a hoot

They are.... till someone gets Ticked off.... I seen some good fur flying during those times.... been the object of it just recently...

When i was buying horse harness I knew the most I would pay for it and put that limit on and let the ebay bidding engine do the bidding. mine was set for twenty five cent increments. And I usually would not start till the bidding was about a day or two towards ending.

Got a nice Russet harness for two hundred dollars that way. Fit my horse too. Was a cheepo from India harness but serviceable enough for one horse show and several different ""adjustments"" from me. I tend to Mess around with gear cutting trimming and adding to. wouldnt do for me to get a very nice harness and do that.

Thanks. I start seeds around March/April here so any time before then would be great.

I have to remind myself that this is prime hatching time for me... before seed starting season, before garden/canning season, before honeybee season... just wish my girls were laying more so I could throw a couple in. I have a giant rooster of unknown origins plus a purebred cornish roo in there plus some hefty girls (including pure cornish). Two of my banties and one standard girl (unsure which) is laying. That's it. Out of 50 birds.

I processed a couple of Cream Legbar cockerels on Sunday. They are cute little things. I would not call them dual purpose but they will taste good.

I would process banties too--just cook two of them instead of one.
