Happy new year everyone!
I started my year off right and slipped and fell, dumping water all over myself getting the waterers filled this morning. Owww and brrrr, my hair is frozen now.
@latestarter At earthdog in Denver off 3rd and kalamath they have a beehive workshop thing, farmers market and chicken swap, wardel's also sells beehives and has classes and has a chicken swap. We are adding at least 2 beehives after we get taxes back.
We were thinking warre hives, but I know almost nothing about bees, but eager to learn. I got honey in a jar and on the comb, and am very much looking forward to my own honey from my own bees. Especially since I make an awesome torrone from egg whites and honey with nuts, but if I were able to use my own honey.. yum yum. Drool.
We have so much to do today to get the greenhouse/sealed room up and running. BTW, never going to use Ushio brand mh bulbs again. And I picked my first meyer lemon that I grew myself yesterday, and lots more on the 2 meyer lemon trees I have in my other growing area. We planted a flat of different pepper seeds and herbs and lettus that I'm pretty excited about. We're planning on supplementing our income by selling organic non gmo plant starts at the farmers market in the spring along with chickens and ducks and bunnies.
I have 4 eggs in the incubator, I have no idea what I'm doing so far but humidity is at 49% temps at 37.6c in the janoel 47. Egg turner appears to be working.
Now to thaw out my frozen hair.
