I have had good tofu...  you just have to change your expectations.  Dont expect it to taste like meat...  But when cooked with other things and good seasonings it can be pretty good.

There is a Chinese restaurant here that makes hot and sour soup.  There is Tofu and beef in the soup and the soup is a beef broth. The Broth is so good it gels when you refrigerate it.   The tofu is sauted along with the beef and veggies and they use a firm Tofu in it.

Oh I never expected it to taste like meat. It's just not for me, maybe some way someday I will. But as of yet I am not a fan. The only soy product I don't dislike is miso paste.

Eww... vegan food. Now that's some scary stuff.

Very scary.....

However, I like vegan when it is SUPPOSED to be vegan.

Like a good coconut milk (not the dairy kind of milk) curry kind of soup.

I actually like fried tofu.... especially with a good dipping sauce...

At the same time, I love cream sauce.... on just about everything

Those are SO SUPER pretty? Are they your Pendescacolas? (sp?)

I would love some eggs that dark.
