We buy all our feed at ace hardware. The FRM brand is awesome and the chickens poop doesnt stink. Next time you go there pick up 1 of these and fill it out. They will send you $5 off coupons in the mail about once a month. Its nice to be able to buy a 50 lb bag of layer feed for $6

Just moved 11 eggs to the hatcher that are due tomorrow. I know, I'm slow.
There are 5 more due on the 30th.
12 are from a hen that just got killed by a raccoon. She apparently decided to spend the night in an unused building and didn't get locked in.
Last hatch, I had several chipmunky chicks. That's a bad thing for black birds and I had no idea why. I then noticed that she had some faint brown streaks on her breast so I decided to hatch as many of her eggs as possible to try and ferret out the problem. If some of these are chipmunky the puzzle will be solved and the raccoon took care of it.
She would have gone into a non-breeder pen. She was a nice bird and laid very nice eggs.

I should know if I solved the question in the next day or so, assuming they hatch.
