The Old Folks Home

Funny.

My chick made it through the night. There was much screaming to be had until I got it mostly right. I felt like Goldilocks and the Three Chick Hospitals. The first one I tried was tooooo short and chick had immediate friends and no protection. The second one I tried was tooooooo unfriendly. Tom didn't enjoy not being able to see his friends and strenuously voiced his displeasure. The third I tried was just about right - tall sides that were see through from a failed attempt at meal worm farming a number of years ago. Before I remembered I had those plastic containers I thought I'd have to hold it all night so it would shut up. I was going so insane I contemplated taking it to bed with me, but I knew I'd wake up to a squished chick or devious looking kitties.

I'm assuming it's a slipped tendon but I'm not sure what to do to fix it. I've stretched the leg out and played with the joint a little bit, gently of course. The chick can retract the leg no problem but won't put weight on it. This weekend I might try to vet wrap it to straighten it out like we did with the last chick that had a similar issue (my beloved Hoppy).

I have to use AOL dialup when I go visit my mother-in-law. AOL dialup isn't too bad at all. It's not like it used to be years ago. I was initially going to suggest a new modem, however, after reading that the mouse is glitching too, I would suggest making sure all the drivers are up to date, then update all the rest of the programs. Malware is a possibility too. What anti-virus, anti-malware programs are you running? CCleaner is a great program for cleaning the browser, and registry.

Mcfee is the antivirus program.

Morning all.
Cold, snowy, windy and I'm trying to stall going out to the coop. Oh look! Coffee!!!

BTW-I too am totally happy with my tracfone. My new one has all the touchscreen, bluetooth, wifi, etc. and I have no idea how to use any of it. Guess I need to actually go to town one of these days, sit in the coffee shop and play with the thing.
As for virus software, I am paying my phone company/ISP a monthly for theirs. I know, but it's easier. I use CCcleaner too. Have for many years. Gets the job done.

Ok, stalled long enough. Got to go give the girls breakfast.
