The Old Folks Home

Quote: Ron, I think her friend has restored it several times. But they have not backed up any of her files. Arielle could get her friend to put in a dial up modem for her I'm sure. She said she is getting tired of this one. I know she is super frustrated. I do know a little about computers and have torn many apart and put them back together and built several for my grandkids. I know just enough about software to get me into trouble. lol But I have been trying to help her. Thanks for your help Ron. She might could find a usb modem. That would be great also!

Kathy, to my recollection ibuprofen doesn't work as a painkiller in dogs, and it poses serious risk of liver damage. No idea how it would work on birds though.

That's what I thought... If it's bad for dogs, probably not good for birds, but if it can be used in both cats and dogs, probably okay for birds. Least that seems to be what I have seen in the books.

Next year will be 20 years of doing IT and Computer Tech stuff for UC Davis.

Computers that keep doing stuff like that often have an issue with memory or the motherboard that causes data corruption on the disk drive.

It is time to replace the old computer.

Quote: I agree! But I think she has had this problem on her hd a long time. I told her to download and run combo fix that it would find and fix any problems and make her computer run like new then to download avg for free. She keeps getting cut off line so she can't finish anything she tries. I just had her clear out her cookies and delete the history on her IE.
I am beyond my knowledge here as I would have already smashed the hd out of frustration. She keeps taking it to a friend of hers who fixes it but it does not stay fixed. She really needs a new computer.

She has a new laptop but she can only use it down the street on wifi. But she needs antivirus and spybot on it quick.
In a nut shell . . . . .

I'm not trying to start a fight, but many of the drugs listed are no longer even available in the US. And many of them you'd be hard pressed to find a vet that would prescribe them. Which vets are prescribing butorphanol?

That's torb, i think, and I've had a vet prescribe a bottle for me, but most vets probably won't. Have also had vets prescribe morphine (dog with cancer), steroids and various NSAIDS, most recently it was a bottle of meloxicam suspension for my peahen.
