The Old Folks Home

Maybe it thought you needed a little chocolate in your life . . .the map? You need a vaca with out PCs and printers????
of course I do. LOL

when dsl forst came out, you could see everybody in the neighborhoods computer. very scary

i used to attached to their printers and inform them that they needed a firewall of some sort - i am sure i freaked many a person out when their ols inkjet fired up

since then dsl modems have changed to include firewalla.

eek oz, did the att guy do this? he was messing with my printer too
My grandma was right - good & bad things come in 3's. My microwave went out, refrigerator went out, internet connection was out. = 3 Bad things. Then man switched computer over to some more expensive(of course) AT & T thing and have internet back - other man replaced 3 bad outlets - Microwave & Fridge came back to life.= sorta 3 things.

Oh charge for replacing 3 bad outlets = $ 75. Still have to replace food that was ruined in the fridge. OY!!
oh noes diva. I'm glad it wasn't more expensive than that. Phew.

I think it is incredible all the knowledge that comes to this thread. SCG's knowledge of chemistry, Casportpony's vast experience with dosages and administration of drugs to fowl, Vehve's in-house vet reference, Ron's IT experience, Deb's knowledge of mechanics and machines, . I know there are others, but there are too many to name them all. That's so cool! Between us, we ought to be able to figure out anything!
I agree.

@Wisher1000 loved the joke and the 'then and now's'!!!
@Arielle don't know much about century link, has been here for maybe 3-4 years, I may be off on that. I just know it's cheap and we can use the internet in the boonies.

@Arielle
First, a few preliminaries. Is your mouse battery-operated? Have you changed the battery lately?

To clean your disk -- I'll assume you're on Windows 7 -- you'll need to click on the start button. If the disk cleanup icon is not readily visible in the column of icons (it's usually at the top) that appears, then go click on All Programs. There should be something there labeled Maintenance. In there is a disk cleanup or repair disk to click.

Usually there's something in that Start menu that will assist you. Worse comes to worst, click the Start icon and go to Help and Support on the far right bottom.

Don't know if that will help or not, but anything's worth a try.

Thanks Alaskan, I haven't had ice cream since Tuesday - my next chance won't be till Sunday - hope I can hold on that long. All I have is some chocolate peanut butter - it is NOT the same ! BTW the electrician said he doesn't know how it happened but "it wasn't Alaskan's fault." Your fame precedes you.
