The Old Folks Home

I've also seen people draw lines around the side of their water bottles and write a time on each of them, then they just keep it next to where they spend most of their time and try to keep up.

Nice snow pics.

Snow day! We got a little more than a foot in total yesterday. So today I was out taking pics!

love these nicely done. i like the chairs.
SCG, instead of just vet wrap, you might try reinforcing it with a wooden match stick, a cut down popsicle stick, or a pipe cleaner. Don't over tighten the vet wrap. Give it a week.
we are doing foam and wrap now.

I'm hovering above the incubator with a cup of this RELAXING healing rose tea I'm addicted to.

...

I like this tea so much, I'm also a coffee addict. I got 2 different cultivars of tulsi to plant so I can make a similar tea of this myself.
I've been a coffee addict for about 25 years. Sometimes I'd drink 2 or 3 pots a day, usually if I was working the midnight shift. Evening shift was the only time I wouldn't drink coffee.
I quit cold turkey a few months back, switching to tea and water with lime. However, I make the coffee for the family in the morning so I've been tempted back. I drink about 2 half cups topped off with a bit of cream and almond milk.

We so need a shivering Icon! BuRRRRRRRR!
How's this?

That's like my area, extreme cold to extreme heat.

That's good to know SCG Come to think of it - haven't seen any squirrels lately. They updated our mini blizzard - we had a bit over 19" but more snow and dropping temps later in the week. Actually today was bright and sunny and no wind so didn't feel the cold.
What state are you in? Squirrels are hunkered down.

Though there is no study to verify the 8 glasses of water a day, it sure is a good number to strive for.

Very nice pictures.
We haven't had very much snow this year. Most was in Nov and Dec but barely enough to shovel.A dusting yesterday morning.

Big straws can work unless the chick is too big. You can even slit the straw segment lengthwise and use it as a cast and something to attach the tape to.

another good idea

Aww your poor peep peep! I hope it gets better!!

The egg that started pipping last night hasn't made any more progress. I had a nightmare I opened my incubator lid and left it off. It was just a night mare though.

I need to change the paper towels in the brooder box. Even just 2 chicks creates a lot of poop!

If it makes you feel any better, SCG, I have a chick with a slipped tendon that was hatched last weekend. Misery loves company, right?

I have a large water bottle. It's actually a jug, that I fill with my daily requirement of water. I try to make sure to drink half of it before lunch and the other half before supper.

Are you treating it?

I am really looking forwards to this weekend. DH bought us tickets to a Kenny Wayne Shepard concert in Vegas. It is supposed to be around 70 degrees in the daytime that weekend (sorry SCG :hide )
I like Kenny Wayne Shepard's music but I am more excited about going to the Valley of Fire state park. It is about an hour away from Vegas but has gorgeous scenery. I already informed DH that we are going there Sunday. I would much rather hike than gamble any day.

Dk cute chicks, good luck on your breese. This weather h
400
