The study of human behavior is fascinating to me. Guess that's what lead me to my profession as a Social Worker. I read a really good book called "Risk and Resiliency in Childhood" while I was working on my masters degree. It talked about the inherited traits vs. the learned behaviors in children and why some will wither in poor conditions yet others will strive and push through. The resiliency is something that people will always carry. I believe who we are is partially due to our genetic makeup and partially do to our life experiences.Not to be negative. . . .just food for thought. To be beaten down continually as a child, it does warp ones sense of well being and optimism. And imbalances in the brain chemicals can also cause disturbances that result in anger and irritability.
Striving to be light hearted and easy going can be a challenge for many . . . .
