The Old Folks Home

Not to be negative. . . .just food for thought. To be beaten down continually as a child, it does warp ones sense of well being and optimism. And imbalances in the brain chemicals can also cause disturbances that result in anger and irritability.

Striving to be light hearted and easy going can be a challenge for many . . . .

The study of human behavior is fascinating to me. Guess that's what lead me to my profession as a Social Worker. I read a really good book called "Risk and Resiliency in Childhood" while I was working on my masters degree. It talked about the inherited traits vs. the learned behaviors in children and why some will wither in poor conditions yet others will strive and push through. The resiliency is something that people will always carry. I believe who we are is partially due to our genetic makeup and partially do to our life experiences.

Just interesting to me how two people will react differently in the same situation. People are interesting and most of what we do is neither right or wrong, just what is best for us individually.

me too
but I'm too old to care

I wore a 3 piece charcoal pin stripe suit to the funeral yesterday, lavender shirt and yellow check tie. Didn't quite get my beard trimmed neatly.
But the thing that brought the most attention was the comfy grey canvas shoes. I said, "well at least I didn't wear sneakers."

By the way, all the eulogies are the hardest part of sitting through a funeral.
I think this was at least my 30th funeral.
Sorry for your loss,

outfit sounds cool though. I don't care and never have about how I dress, there are so many more important things than that.
yes, eulogies are tough but I always learn more about them than I thought I knew.

U do not want me to be your neighbor

Looks like someone's about to be drowning in chickies, Wisher.

A miracle has happened here, the sun is finally shining. Long time forecasts are even hinting of sunshine until Easter.

I would be surprised if the US qualifies in that time frame.

Bama, maybe cricket is not popular because you guys are mainly interested in Boll Weevils.
