It took me MANY, MANY years to manage to spell my entire name correctly.

In first grade, I couldn't understand why the teacher insisted on pronouncing my name incorrectly....... turned out I was leaving out a letter.

Can everyone pray that a BUNCH more of my eggs hatch?

I need the blasted things to HATCH!!!

(I am starting to think that hatching on order is too stressful for me)

I apologize for not getting on sooner. I had some sewing I was working on to keep my mind off DD and since she didn't have the baby until this morning (8:52 Eastern time) I pretty much finished a table runner and set of six place mats (well the place mats I only had to bind, the rest was done). But after like 36 hours in the hospital and only 12 minutes of pushing miss Olivia Ellen Elizabeth Strong finally arrived.

Now I have to wait THREE WHOLE WEEKS before I get to see her in person.

Don't feel bad Alaskan, I didn't know how to spell my last name until second grade, I only abbreviated it before that. They are making our Kindergartener kid spell her whole last name, all fourteen letters of it for a whole name twenty letters long! Poor kid had another five year old pick on her and tell her she was only scribbling letters on her paper because she writes big and wraps her name down around her homework. Mom told her tell that little brat to try to spell you name, at least you know it! Lol!

Totally!

That is what I told my kids!

One of my kids said that he was bummed, he still didn't think he was spelling his last name right... I told him not to worry.

By 8th grade, then you really need to be able to spell all of your names correctly.

I had one friend, his name was Westerlagenhausen.

That name doesn't even fit on most papers.

But you really need to give the poor kid a bunch of years to get that one right.

Mine is not so bad.
