I enjoyed trying to follow the HAL even though my broodies were off a couple days so our numbers didn't count.

We ended up with 6/8! I need to up load some pics later. I finally got one of all the chicks/mamas yesterday.

Yes, you get an email that says something like:

ronott1 has mentioned you on thread....

I will get one by sending myself a ping...It takes a bit of time for BYC to send the email...

There is a setting in the preferences section of your profile. It says notify me when someone mentions me. It is on by default but it may be tuned off if you customized your profile.
