they are defective, with odd things that lack barbules, and then there is SCG's Silkie that doesn't even know what gender it is, so can't even help with hatching eggs and brooding chicks like other silkies......


Vehve... back away from the Silkie.... go look at your bunny mama....

or build a tomato tower

Hilma is looking fat as ever. I don't think she's given birth yet. Tomorrow should be the sweet spot.

The tomato towers might be a bit premature still...

Not that I haven't built them in my head several times over already.

Al, you're right of course. I planted the maters 10 days ago, and they're already starting on their first pair of real leaves.

The chilis have a six week head start on them.

Felix are you using T 5's or T 8's florescent tubes. Do you use special grower bulbs?

Diva, it's a 14W T5 fixture with a 24W T5 grower light at 6500K. Seems to be working pretty nicely. I should have a real fixture with a reflector arriving in the mail at some point, I bought that one when the previous one broke. I'm still not sure about using an overpowered bulb in the fixture, but so far nothing has caught fire.
