Problem is someone just bought three different sized Emu eggs and was told that some maybe 30 days into incubation and some maybe only one day into it. Was trying to help him find a way to calculate what they would weigh before setting them so he would have a better idea of when they might pip. Suggestions?

You could do a float test or candle but without knowing the weight when incubation started there's no way of knowing IMO.

Tiny birds lay tiny eggs; our biggest problem with Seramas is birds that are too big. Y'all have got me wondering about trying to track a Serama from egg to mature bird, to see whether there is a maximum size for eggs that could result in showable sized birds. Hmmmm.

I could have sworn that I saw something just the other day that involved measuring the length and circumference then doing a little math. New I should have book marked it!

Yes you should have. I'm sure there is a way.
If you get a fresh emu egg (or any egg for that matter), weigh it, measure length and circumference and do the math. My son comes home in a couple hours. I'll ask him to come up with the formula.

Now, see, I am working with a severe handicap, here - I'm trying to hatch Serama eggs. Any Serama that could lay a 65g egg . . . .

After all, the ideal weight for the whole hen is only about 400 grams.

To the best of my knowledge, those with LF counterparts are referred to as diminutive bantams.

We have had quite a bit of excitement since Friday over here. My DW is recovering from the motor cycle accident from last August and went to Emergency over night on Friday with fainting symptoms. They diagnosed an urinary tact infection and sent her home with anti biotics. Last night she went in again with similar symptoms and found kidney stones! She also has elevated calcium levels so depending on what the stones are made of, she may need to be checked out for hyper para thyroid problems.

Next step is to save stones and see a kidney Dr. The stone in the kidney is to big to pass so it will likely need to be chunk ed up with sonic waves.

OMG!

Wow, hope she is okay!

They are micro bantams, so smaller than regular bantams---so very very tiny.
