The Old Folks Home

My brother loves Kaui coffee (dark kona blend), Panera Bread Coffee (Huh?) and Gloria Jeans - he hates Starsux with a passion, says it is bitter & burnt tasting. I don't care for coffee - don't hate me.

I should be able to get Seattle's Best coffee from work, never comes in, Maxwell House we get by the cases, cheap. Also
Gevalia, now that stuff tastes yummy, just like Dunkin donuts, and I get it from work less than half price, but still $ compared to Maxwell House. Max H doesn't work in the you fill k-cups, fine for drip, but no go for k, isn't ground fine enough, they do have k cups that are good. Gevalia works excellent in u-fill k-cups, fine ground and strong.

I never was fond of coffee either until recently, now I love it.

I got the mothballs put out today, after I made sure the snake was nowhere around.  I don't really want to kill the snake, because black racers kill poisonous snakes, but I don't want it eating my eggs, and messing with my chickens either, so I will see how this goes.  The mothballs are very cheap, so it's not that big of a deal to get them and replenish on a regular basis.  I'm told it will keep the rodents at bay too.  They sell snake deterrent granules, proven effective,  at Home Depot in gallon sized containers for about $15.00 a container.  The active ingredient is naphthalene, which is the same active ingredient in mothballs, so in essence it's ground up mothballs at a big price.  The property owner is um, er, significantly less than a nice person, to put it mildly.

On another note, I've got 4 loaves of Amish Friendship Bread baking in the oven.  My house smells delicious.
8 might try mothballs to try to deter rats then as we are having quite a problem with them. S8nce my chickens have a rather small free range space, I'll need to maybe put them in small mesh bags and hang them on the fence line where they seem to run, so the chickens won't come in contact with them.
