The Old Folks Home

I am having surgery on Oct. 2nd so that my DH will be home to help me. The Dr. just said that I won't be able to lift anything over 5lbs for 6 wks. He did say it was going to be out patient.
My husband and I were kind of amazed. But that is ok this hosptal has a bad reputation. They call it the local stop and drop. :/ So I would rather come home.
I will be sleeping in the recliner for awhile. I know I won't be able to get in and out of my water bed for awhile.

I luckily did not get sent home right after child birth either.
I was sent home 2 days after childbirth in 1970. Military hospital. Civilian hospitals kept women for a week minimum. They were strict there. We had to walk to nursery and get our babies and take them to our room. But we were not allowed to get into bed with them but had to sit in a hard chair to feed them, then walk them back to the nursery.also they had us down on the hard delivery ward corridor floors they same day the baby was born doing exercises. This was not to include women who had cesarean or complicated births. Guess what? I was young, healthy & I survived it. Plus I had a beautiful, healthy daughter. Wishing you all the best for a complete and fast recovery.

Good morning all! :frow Ron and SCG your goodies look heavenly! :drool I love English muffins and honey and honey on English muffins sounds wonderful. A while back I bought a large box (75 yards) of ultra heat n bond because I do a lot of applique work and prefer the glue over the paper way of doing applique. Wow, wish I had bought a smaller box only because the glue is so heavy that it shreds the thread when you are trying to sew it. I just ordered a box of the light heat n bond because I just can't keep using the ultra stuff. Now what the heck am I going to do with about 73 yards of the ultra stuff? Lesson learned. I got this project glued and slowly working on getting it sewn but it is frustrating because of the glue. I will get it done though.
Looks great!

Bunny, I agree, lots of fussy little pieces but yes the art deco style translates well into fabric. Had to get out into the fresh air today. I went up into Adam's canyon. It is north of SLC in Layton. It is a VERY popular hike probably because it isn't terribly long (just over three miles round trip) and you get to see a waterfall at the end of the trail. Very nice day to get out and get some pictures.
beautiful pix.
