The Old Folks Home

Besides not getting my stencil lined up for the front door and top window, I don't think I did too badly considering I can barely draw a stick figure. I believe we finish it next week, filling in details, putting borders on it and quilting it. I did almost have a major accident (perhaps I might admit to more than one close call) with my X-acto knife, but crisis was averted at the last minute and all digits remain intact.
This is not exactly my style, it's a little too "country" for me (and I have no idea what the brown thing is on the right), but I'm overall pleased with it.

It is very nice!

I think it looks pretty decent with the window(s) and door as well as the walls and roof line all askew!

I think the brown thing is supposed to be a cloud on/over the horizon?

So my DD is here with me for the weekend and I haven't made a home made spaghetti sauce in a coons age so I just finished making one. Smells (and tastes) wonderful and now I can barely wait till dinner time!

I made enough to feed about 15, so she'll get to take some home w/her and I'll get to freeze some for later use.

I like it Scg. Country is my thing. I have not done this kind of fabric painting but it is very nice. I can't wait to see it when it's done.
Way to go fixing the boo boo and not losing and digits! X-acto things scare the mess out of me.
I had a major boo boo with one cutting some carpet once.

I can't remember where Dsqard and I were but the day before we went hiking somewhere I decided to try to cut the tip of my index finger off with my rotary cutter.

I looked ridiculous hiking with a giant wrapped finger.

I have no idea what that thing is... we will be adding haystacks to the border, although I think I'm going to make mine pumpkins instead. Maybe it's the bomb cloud over the city, and these people are happy they moved to the country.

I should add a chicken.

SCG maybe you should spend some time with a mental health professional, you seem to have a lot of self inflicted accidents. There are no accidents right, only on purposes

Actually I think it's the utensils, etc, that want to maim or kill us. I've had a lot of mishaps with scissors when cutting my hair - they like to take a nip out of ear lobes. OUCH and more Ouch, and they really bleed. Also innocent looking note paper that gives me cuts. And how could I forget BIC disposable razors - a blood bath every time.
