Ya I read it to my DH and he laughed so hard. We have had a few of those discussions. But you said it all!

Actually, I do know what mauve is, and magenta and chartreuse. Well the latter is a cheat because it is my favorite fishing lure color.

CC despite being a woman there is a lot of truth in your " Man rules, " However the part about not minding when WE leave the seat down, is suspect. Kind of a passive aggressive act "cause men tend to retaliate by peeing all over the seat instead of lifting it.

While leaving the seat up, some of us get a cold splash wakeup, during middle of the night visits. In olden days woman could retaliate by starching men's shorts. However, starch seems to have gone the way of the dodo bird.

Well now...

I lost one of my hives this year, but it looked like a weak package to begin with. I didn't get any honey harvest and have had to start feeding my remaining hive so they CAN make it through the winter.

I have a chicken with lice on it, but it's next to my bees. What should I do? Sevin dust is bad for bees as is the garden dust and DE. So jow I want to burn down my chicken coop.

I'm lobbying my bf to build me a new chicken coop/goat house when we re-do the layers pen this weekend as the tarp abd chicken wire on top of it are weakened by the snow from last winter.

I want poop boards too!! How does that work exactly?

I want poop boards too!! How does that work exactly?

Try Elektor or Frontline, generic fipronil--both are systemic, and go on as a couple of drops. You would repeat in a month. Clean the coop and treat with DE.

Lice are easier to get rid of then mites.

You could use Sevin if you wanted....true, it's deadly to bees, however, it's usually because it gets put on plants the bees share with the bad bugs......

We've all heard of the birds and the bees....but I've never known them to socialize.....

I knew a guy that only bought candles made from bees wax he said they lasted forever. I am sure there are a lot of uses for it.

How do you keep honey from crystallizing?

There's really no way to keep it from crystallizing. It doesn't hurt or damage the honey when it happens and is completely natural. Just set the container in some very warm water and the crystals will melt back into liquid honey. It's a factor of the moisture content of the honey... less moisture, faster crystallization.
