Not that early for us. Actually we normally have our killing freeze long before this then a few weeks of Indian summer before the first dusting of snow in early/mid October. Usually nothing serious until mid November, with the emphesis on USUALLY. I have an odd feeling all bets may be off this year. El Nino's tend to make our weather really crazy up here, right Alaskan?

The NPIP testing went pretty smoothly. Before dawn, I caught the mature birds in buildings that are easy to catch them in at night but impossible after dawn and caged them up. I blacked out the windows of the other two buildings so they were pretty easy to catch in the dark.
It only took about an hour and a half. All clean.
I need to plan my hatching next year so that all the culling will be done by September and the rest to be under 4 months.

Headed to the Gulf for the weekend for our 5th Anniversary. Also going to stop and an RV lot in Robertsdale and do some looking around. We are hoping to find one that fits into our
want list's. lol We each have our own want's so we are hoping to find something that has a few of them. lol

Did you guys get any of that moisture that went through your state? We were supposed to get a little bit. Haven't seen any where we are, but may have gotten some in the state somewhere.

Holy crap we got 6 inches in 24 hours yesterday. I've been sick and haven't gotten the mail since Saturday. Mailman kept shoving it in the box, leaving the door open. I did actually leave the house today and got the (majorly waterlogged) mail. Also maybe getting some of the hurricane later this week.

Yep... Super crazy weather the last three years...

The snow we got last night is the third so far this year....
