The Old Folks Home

Thanks dsqard. You might try renting one for a trip and see if he likes it that might get him interested. :)

Latestarter I have to confess that my DH has wanted one for probably 40 years and it was his idea. So when we got into chickens he thought we would save every dime that we brought in that had to do with chickens, eggs or turkey. So he stashed away every dime for 3 years saving for the down payment. He also had a plan that it had to be within a price range that he would have it paid off in 3 years when he retires. So this was the day and time. We dickered back and forth on the price of the RV till we got it as close as we needed it to be and when I handed my purse to my DH to pull out the down payment in wads of cash banded together with rubber bands and counted out the down payment. The guy looked kind of funny, I guess trying to figure out why we had it in my purse I guess. But I told the man that is my blood and sweat for the last 3 years. And it was!

We have shopped around on craigslist and many other sites for RV's and we really wanted to stay around 15-20,000. And we did go a bit over but they have some that are nearly new cheap! Look around you should be able to find one. :)

Bama, fixed term contract coupled with employee co-operation negotiations as they call it here, so kinda, yeah. I've got some promising leads though.

Deb, he does! I'm good, how about you? How's the writing going? When can I expect a copy in the mail? =)

Bunnylady, When we were coming home yesterday we saw hundreds of RV's towing everything from cars to trucks. We thought maybe people from the Carolina's were evacuating.
I am so sorry that you and everyone there is going thru this. I hope and pray that everyone will be safe and that there will not be to much damage. My heart goes out to you all stay safe.

I joined a writers group that has several published writers in it and NUBEs like me... Learning alot about the editorial process. i am afraid I wont be able to afford an editor any time soon. And still haven't scraped up the courage to share a portion of my manuscript.... Been to four meeting though so Next time.

Up till now I have been sharing short story stuff and a poem... mostly trying to get my anxiety level to chill out...
