CC, I am now, more hungry than I was 5 mins. ago, and I was pretty hungry then! All of that looks soo good. Can't believe that we didn't do anything on the BBQ this yr. And, home made mac and cheese..been a long time.

SCG..snow? We are expecting to see some snow on the mountains when this rain passes, at least we hope, but no snow in the valleys yet. Won't be surprised if we get some by the end of the month though. We just never know here. Ask Di Di..lol...

chicka, darling bags! Love the colors. Are you going to have the kids pick what they want? First come first server..or do you have the ones picked out for each? I used to do those easy tie the end of the blankets for the kids. Find some cute material and cut and tie the ends for a lap blanky. Now that I have 33 Grandchildren, I just had to stop. I come up with something different every yr. now. Not expensive, but something.

By the way, I caught the opossum last night that was in my cellar. Hav-a-hart trap baited with peanut butter.

Not a good place to have an opossum living when you pull chicks out of the hatcher down there.

Thank you. I usually only do blankets for babies but I did hand crochet king or queen size blankets for each of my kids.
I have asked the kids moms what their favorite color and if they thought the kids would like a weekend bag or a tote or a purse and try to do the best I can. But some years I have just shown up with buckets full of makeup and nail polish and watched them have a blast digging thru it all.

I could not imaging having 33 boy o boy. I have bought games for the family to play on their game systems or movies for the family. But even with my 12 grands and 5 kids and their better half's I have to be smart about shopping. Some years I buy for the kids and other years I have just bought for the parents or gave them all money for what ever. But I do try to start early. This year I started in Aug. to try to get done before my hernia surgery.

Cynthia no snow this weekend on the mountains near me. We had some rain off and on but no snow on the peaks. I did get a chance to go up into a small canyon near my house today to get a few pictures done between rain showers. I have shot up here before. I was working on some new focusing techniques I learned in a class I took yesterday. I really like how these came out.

I love love the idea of the buckets of nail polish and makeup!! So going to do this! I also start early. I've bought a lot of the shrink wrapped cartoon characters, girl and boy themes, will do something else, now the polish for the girls! Have to think of something for the boys now. Also have a 1 yr. old Great G. She should be easy.

Cynthia I'm glad you like the bucket ideas. Maybe some fishing stuff in buckets for the boys if they are into fishing? My grandsons like games, fishing and hunting. So I try to go along those lines.
I have not seen the shrink wrapped cartoon characters. I will have to look for some.

Sometime if you have any barging buy out stores like big lot's or dirt cheap they buy out overstock of make up and nail polish and all kinds of stuff. When I find stuff like that I buy all I can get.
One year I bought a 30 gal. bag of make up and nail polish and that is why I thought up that idea. They loved it! But maybe you could hunt some things like that for boys?

Does anyone have a couple of turkey and or peacock feathers I might be able to buy for a gift idea I am trying to do? I was thinking of buying them on hobby lobby or some site but then I thought I might be able to get some real ones? lol Please let me know and I can send you some $ thru pay pal. Thanks
