The Old Folks Home

Hi Sally and Eggs2luv welcome!

Bunny, that's what we figured too, treated with some topical cream. Possibly ivermectin? I dunno, too lazy to get up and check what Karin used.

@Eggs2luv Welcome to the thread! I haven't traveled that many revolutions around the sun yet, but I'm old at heart.

And hey Sally, weird that you haven't made it here before. This is where all the excitement is. Bingo and crochet and all that.

SCG, is a one hand gun the best choice for rats? I would have gone with a lovely Finnish product, the Sako Quad. You can change barrels, for a choice of 4 small calibers. My friends dad has one of those with a silencer, loads of fun to shoot. It's a rifle though.

On added light and all that, we're down to about 5 hours of natural light at the moment, and it's mainly overcast all the time, so it's pretty dark. I've got the chickens on about 12-13h of light at the moment, and it's been enough to get 2 new layers this past week. Today we reached a milestone, when we got our one thousandth egg. Pretty sweet, those guys have pushed out over 50 kilos of eggs already.

Scg, sorry they evaded last night, good luck with the fruit stripe.

V, I better not show that rifle to my hubby, he'll want one! Looks pretty nifty though!

Morning chicka!

You should always show Finnish products :p

I started drooling over the Sako TRG M10 until I saw the price, at 7990 euros it's a bit on the expensive side... Would make for a nice sniper rifle though, I was a pretty decent shot with a scope in the army, and that was using a Russian made SVG-63, which isn't the most accurate of toys. But at 500 yards I was the best shot in our platoon. Didn't do as well with iron sights though, I think my glasses didn't go too well together with shooting an assault rifle.

7990 euros? 7 thousand?? That's over 8 thousand US dollars. :th
I think that one will be safe to show him. He likes expensive weapons, but i think that's a bit over the top :D

500 yards is impressive! I'll try to remember to never tick you off :D

Welcome newcomers. I don't think I've ever spoken to you Sally, but I sure did use your hatching information when I hatched out my first chicks, and read her interview on another thread, so I feel like we're old friends, even if you had no idea I even existed. LOL!

WV, which one did he get? The ones I've seen are pricey, but we could really use one. Right after Christmas, I want to get my new scope fully sighted in. I had gotten a new scope, I decided on a Swift due to the larger size opticals, got it sighted in, and it was defective. The reticle kept turning. Sent it back to Swift, they checked it out, and sent me a new one. Haven't been to the range in awhile, and it will be a bit before we do. Dh tore a cartilage in his back ribcage more towards his underarm. Those type injuries take time to heal, and one has to be careful not to keep reinjuring it.
