And here I thought TJs only sold eating chickens and eggs. Maybe there aren't any feed stores or TSCs near you that sell chicks.

These are less expensive and I get to hatch them!

They are $2.99 per dozen, less expensive then feed store chicks.

I have 39 developing in my incubator--$12.00 for them.

Plus I get to join the Club!

@Cynthia12 they do better with snow than the chickens. Chickens always think that snow will kill them... I have to force the chickens into the snow.

The ducks are happy to walk through snow. We went out to harvest a couple of ducks for Christmas, and one of them was sitting in their water pan.

If it gets around -10 I take their pan away, and give them a "too small to jump in" bucket.

Nope, they have down jackets.

Yeah.... I haven't collected any down the last few harvests -sigh-. The Muscovy down just isn't anywhere as nice and fluffy as goose down.

Hummmmm I think I will get some geese in the spring to harvest in the fall.

Wow I guess that is how reasonable people see it. All us chicken pampering people wonder do they need a heat lamp? (Laughing) (my emoticons will not go where I want them)
