I got a heated water base and run an extension cord to it for the chickens/turkeys and this year guineas.
The ducks get a small heated dog bowl (which they cram their fat fannies into).
The goats have a heated bucket.

Otherwise, there's no outdoor heating here.

I agree on the pig smell, that's about the worst animal produced smell there is. Wouldn't want to live down wind from a broiler farm either...

And as much as I like dogs, I can't stand them barking for no reason at all. Luckily, most of our dogs stay quiet unless there's someone at the door.

Not looking like much of a winter here, so people are coming up with alternative methods to spread Christmas spirit.
Hi vehve! You Finland pics intrigue me. My maiden name is Hopponen, as finish as it gets. My GGparents immigrated to Michigan. Anyhoo, I enjoy your posts. I'll never be able to visit Finland.

That's cute. Good thing ducks don't beg for treats. hehehee

Wrong.

We were on vacation at Disney when I heard a tapping on our patio door. There were three mallards waiting expectantly. By the end of our stay, they were coming into the room for treats. Wonder how the next guests dealt with them?

That sounds Super Cool!
bet it made you think of home though

Although I have come to enjoy vacations with the Princess and family, for me the best part is coming home. When we bought this place, the 'old man' who owned it cried at the closing. As a 23 year old kid, I could not understand that. I now understand how you can love a home.
