30 degrees here and our snow turned out to be just a dusting. Supposedly getting better snow on Wednesday (the CA leftovers)

The situation across the street just keeps on giving....

Talking to a neighbor and he mentioned he was walking his dog on Saturday night (the day after the activity) and there were two police cruisers in the street and two EMT units in the driveway. They were there to revive a woman inside. Not drugs, though. Apparently so distraught over the bust that she drank herself into unresponsiveness.

I swear, our sleepy village hasn't had so much action in ages. Most often the police work here is writing speeding tickets on Corrales Road.

I agree, I bet your neighbor would have had enough space back there for you to transplant them and raise them right. Might have even been able to start your own business... on a small scale of course.

Still sticking around 0 F here... I went and plugged on the chicken coop heat because Eemeli's comb is looking pretty nasty. And this cold should only last until the weekend, so a week of heating the coop won't be that costly. Would probably not be a problem if the birds would have had a chance to get accustomed to it, but we went from 40 to 0 in about a day.

That's going to be us this weekend. Just got a bunch of salt and sand to treat the driveway with. All weekend it is going to freezing rain. Yay us.
