Beautiful place CanuckBock!
We got a good amount of snow last night so we were allowed to come in to work a few hours late to give everyone time to get dug out and let the plows do their thing. I went in only an hour late and the roads were not too bad except on the military installation that I work on (figures). This is what our parking lot looked like at about 8am this morning.

Al, here 1 acre per cow is all that is necessary.  The land must really be poor to require 5 acres per cow. 

Crazy..... I have seen land that is that fertile ...... But still, wow.

Up here, it is about 2 acres or so for a cow, if you are grazing them only during growing season.

Deb, that was a good description of the dry land over by your place.

Texas varies like crazy... and even though I studied the entire state, I am from the Hill country, and that runs between 12 acres per cow to 25 or more acres per cow.
