duckchick I had a hard time processing a chicken the first time I did it too. Took a while to get over the thought of killing something I raised. Now when it came to processing and eating a mean rooster? That was easy and he was delicious! Bunnies would be hard for me. They are "pets" to me. Used to think I couldn't eat anything I considered a pet until I raised chickens. I guess I might be able to try rabbit meat now.
Latestarter, yup I quit the nicotine about two years ago too but I am still strongly attached to my caffeine

We grew up with my dad cooking us rabbit and we loved it. DH has hunted rabbit since he was a kid and he loves it.
I have dispatched two of my roosters that were mean, but I did not eat them. I guess because DH considers them pets we just feed them and eat the eggs.
I would rather eat my own knowing how well they are taken care of and feed well. But I could not get one past DH so that's that. lol

I quit smoking about 3 yrs. ago and like y'all I cannot and do not want to give up my coffee.

Don't drink coffee but I drink tea like it's going out of style.

I quit smoking in 2002 and I picked up a gum habit after that. I still have a pack a day habit, but it's gum not smokes.

Speaking of gum, I got some fruit stripe today.

I'll have to dig my traps out - they got snowed in under the last storm we had.

And speaking of storms, mom and sister in the DC metro area are about to get slammed. And then the storm will be going north and then heading out to sea after getting boston.

I do love a good story like that.
