The Old Folks Home

duckchick I had a hard time processing a chicken the first time I did it too. Took a while to get over the thought of killing something I raised. Now when it came to processing and eating a mean rooster? That was easy and he was delicious! Bunnies would be hard for me. They are "pets" to me. Used to think I couldn't eat anything I considered a pet until I raised chickens. I guess I might be able to try rabbit meat now.
Latestarter, yup I quit the nicotine about two years ago too but I am still strongly attached to my caffeine

I hear some bunnies get mean too though, right? The mean ones are much easier to off, for sure. My hubby said our place would be in the minority where they all die of old age. :D

Oh caffeine and nicotine... still both vices of mine... someday though..

Lol. I have honestly never tried rabbit meat. It is on my list though

The legs make great hotwings.

We actually found some frozen rabbit (and quail also) in our grocery store last weekend.  Cooked up the rabbit a couple nights ago.  A first for me, but it was great meat.  Not happy with the recipe we used, but the meat itself was surprisingly tasty to me. The bad news... 18 bucks for a single frozen rabbit!  I should just raise some, but I don't know...

Get a beagle and a shotgun, cheaper, easier, and the dogs absolutely love it.

I have to admit, I literally LOL'd at the beagle comment!
I did see a nasty rabbit in a movie once...the dreaded rabbit of Caerbannog
