$16 here on average, for layer, everything else $18.... Ground road kill burgers and fresh vegis from the garden, and some corn from neighbors field.

Pfft, spoiled Merkans =)

Milk, cheapest is around .80 EUR per liter, so that's about 3.30 USD per gallon with today's exchange rate. Pretty close to your prices, really.

Gas, cheapest 95 octane with 10% ethanol in Finland yesterday was 1.259 EUR per liter, so that's 5.20 per gallon. Super cheap by the way. Usually it's around 1.50-1.70 per liter, but the oil prices being what they are have brought it down. Mean price yesterday was probably around 6 bucks per gallon.

Not spolt... were at the same price as you....for milk

fuel is running around 3.50 is here per gallon AT super expensive taxed regulated prices in California... Right now about 50 cents per gallon goes to taxes and regulatory fees.

We found gas in T-town yesterday for 1.48 per gallon. And if we buy milk at regular grocery stores it's 3.50 a gallon if we buy at our
outlet everything is at cost plus 10% then the milk is 2.50 per gallon.

We're going to suffer huge increase in local milk prices due to the blizzard that crippled New Mexico's dairy industry (frostbitten teats, dead animals). I get my milk presently at chain grocery for $2 to $2.50 gallon.

Gas here is pretty cheap. Last week was $1.80. DH filled up yesterday at $2.29/gal.

It takes a village....
We're in the process of adding another dog to the pack. One of our elderly neighbors (she actually saw the Hindenburg blow up in Lakehurst) last year went off to assisted living with her dog after her husband passed and then later to the hospital without her dog, which since then has been like the Flying Dutchman being sheltered with assorted neighbors and friends until the owner was back on her feet and could care for the dog again. Well, not going to happen as her health is declining and the neighbors that were okay with the short-term visiting canine aren't so much with permanency. Soooooo.... Not wanting to see a sweet elderly dog go to a shelter we volunteered our home. Today is introduction day to our two big dogs. Did I mention Molly is a Yorkie cross? Hopefully there won't be too much referreeing. My dogs already know that something is up because we put down another set of dog dishes.

What a wonderful thing to do!

I hope the introduction goes well! Can your neighbor have visits with Molly? Will she recognize her? If so, it should give her great comfort to know you have her.

I wish we could get those here
