The Old Folks Home

We will be making a 5 hour (one way) trip to pick up a rooster Friday. We have a Honda Odyssey mini van and a huge pet carrier.
My dumber half thinks we can cover the pet carrier with a black bed sheet, and the rooster will sleep the entire way home.
I want to take his truck.
He dont want his big ugly mud tires on the interstate highway. And he is whining some crap about a Hemi and gas mileage

I like my van clean

Hey can y'all please look at this chick and tell me if you think it is a splash Maran please?

I have a splash OE that looks similar, only he has red on his chest and neck..has marans in him.

Wow, this was taken last month, he has a lot more grey splash in him now! Fut has the feathered feet too. He's sweet. Only coming up on three months.

A rooster....as in a single one?! A cardboard box....holes poked around the top...some sawdust/shavings/straw/whatever in the bottom. You should be okay with the 5 hour trip without any water or food. Stick him in, close-up the top (I usually just do the "four alternating flap thing" or tape it). No mess in the vehicle, enough air but dark enough they don't crow much. Piece of cake......van stays clean...everyone is happy.
