Still have reasonably well behaved guineas. They are not intelligent creatures.

Here you go!As to shoe laces... As I watched my youngest child walk through the church today as altar boy, with his shoes UNTIED, and I kept watching the feet of the Deacon right behind him, wondering if the Deacon would step on the trailing shoe laces and cause an exciting crash with the altar boy's lighted candle flying etc.....
Well, there was no exceitement!
But it dawned on me, that my kids have no idea how to tie shoes.... Youngest has only been an altar boy for a few months, and he doesn't get to serve every Sunday... And only as an altar boy does he wear shoes that have laces. Yep. Otherwise he is in church barefoot or just socks.
And at home, he only has snow boots, or rain boots.
So... Watching him walk with those trailing laces, it dawned on me, that the poor child has NO practice with lace tying.
Also, we had a visitor in our church... I kept thinking the guy was a girl... Dude, he TOTALLY shaved!!! He had no facial hair at all!!!!! Dang, I live in a small hick town.

You know.... I was always running around with untied shoes. Oh I would tie tthem but they wouldnt stay... Then when I was about twenty a girlfriend looked down and said why do your shoe lace bows go up and down not side to side. "Hunh?" I looked down and for sure. They were going up and down.
She said no wonder your laces come untied. Youve tied em with granny knots. She then showed me how to tie them with a square knot... I will be darned the bows went side to side....
duh...
