Could very well be the genetics SCG, maybe Murray birds are predisposed to it? Do you have birds from other sources? And do you have any problems with them?

That is odd... Isn't it? I have had a few cases of bumble, I thought mine all got red.

The ones we have had here are not red. Just swollen with a blackish brown plug.

Is she limping?

Filth is good and why we have immune systems.

She limps a little bit, but not always noticeable even before I started treating her. She still gets on the highest roost I have and kerplunks down onto her feet every day. You'd think if they hurt that bad she'd try roosting lower or not at all.

I heard on NPR some time ago that people who were raised on farms with all the barn dust have a much lower incidence of allergies. But you have to grow up there from early on. Didn't help with people who moved to a farm when they were grade school age (IIRC)

I'd try the castor oil first

WAY cheaper, not invasive, does no damage to the skin (in fact can help it) and doesn't hurt one bit. It just takes a LOT more time. If it doesn't work, you aren't out much. I had a grape sized cyst on my thigh taken off 40 years ago and there is STILL a dimple where it had been. Surgery means removing the "problem" and some of the surrounding tissue I guess.

Yes, but it may not be a wart if the treatment did not work. It would be wise to have it looked at.

Oh that would be bad. I don't think I would try the freezing thing on something I wasn't sure it was meant for! Too much tissue damage to take a chance.

Never heard of it, looking it up, must be a Finnish product? I was going to get oyster mushroom plugs along with a few other medicinal mushrooms, didn't realize oysters were medicinal also.
