There must be something good on TV, or my deodorant failed. Where is everyone?

I replied to your post about the hatching eggs being taken to work by DH--did not get a reply.

I even gave a tip for keeping them safe. It goes like that sometimes on BYC. Most of my subscriptions have been very low volume. IT is like I am hearing crickets!

Not hearing crickets...Whew! That can be sooooo annoying. I'm hearing the coffee maker though. Soon, I'll be getting a fresh cup of coffee. Ahhhhhh.

Remember back a few months ago when I said I was going to turn some totes into nest boxes? Well, I did. 2 of them. They wouldn't go near them for a few days. They decided they would use 1. Only 1. They kept pushing the other one over, or taking the nesting material out of it to spread across the coop. I gave up on it, and left it. When I cleaned up the coop the other day, I cleaned out both nesting boxes, put in fresh hay, and put them side by side like I had originally done. They are using them both now. Go figure!

Thank you! I know that 4 of them are good. Got them today. Not sure about the others though. They were for eating, so put into the egg basket. They weren't bad or anything, but the ones on the bottom were not the freshest.

Finally some of you are coming out of hiding

conflicted.... watching Law and Order....

Conflicted because a friend called out of the blue.... I have made many calls to her over the years but she never returned the call even though wed see each other in the grocery store Conversation would go. "Yeah so good to see you..... Give me a call... or we should do lunch sometime..." I would call no return call. So I figure she doesnt want to talk to me.... fine.

She called today Said shed been thinking aobut me and wondered how I was doing. then she asks about my house and if I still had it. When I said yes she asked if i had a tenant in it. ok i see where this is going.... No I said. Then she tells me how she has friends in a Town up in my area. long story the house they were leasing was sold now they needed a place to live where they could keep horses and poultry.

I said No renters and no future renters... For a number of reasons... One being the wiring in the house needs to be wrung through. I was firm... The conversaton went on to catch up on her daughers and husband .... Health issues. The usual stuff two people who have known each other for forty years would catch up on.

Then she winds up the conversation with... We should do lunch some time... Hows your schedual... Like I have a schedual... and she prattles off all the things shes doing for the next week or so. Friday was free. I said how about Friday. She said Sure where do you want to meet... I said You know I never got to see your house after you finished it.... so I am going to meet her at 1:00 on Friday...

After I hung up I realized I was going to meet a woman who has been actively avoiding me just because I am VERY lonely..... and her alterior motive in calling me was to find a friend a place to live.

I really need to just call and make some sort excuse....

That is well.. g I am not helpful in any way, and have zero good advice, but I do have a couple things to say:

1. AWESOME that you stood firm and made it clear that you wanted no renters

2. If you do end up seeing her play up that a. The house is an about to explode death trap b. The neighbor is constantly over there checking up on everthing c. You go there "like all the time" because that woman sounds like slime.
