The Old Folks Home

We knocked out our anniversary, his bday, and Mothers day on our beach trip the weekend of May 9

On 1 December every year my dad would string toilet paper across the front steps, having written "HAPPY BIRDAMAS" on it. He'd hand my mother a pair of scissors to cut it. December was her birthday, anniversary, and Christmas.

The Trader Joes flock is Hy-line 36 pullets and Hy-line brown Cockerels. They are specially bread so no, they are not RIRs. http://www.hyline.com/aspx/products/productinformation.aspx :rant Don't get me started on what a lot of people call RIRs now a days. This is a hy-line Brown:

This is an RIR: :woot It was a good question though!
Thanks Ron. They are mostly dirty white not RIR just thinking they must have some of the hy-line brown in them that you mentioned. I have the three hens in with my CCL mostly because of size. Some are saying this cross will produce abundant blue egg layers. :idunno Two have recently hatched under broody
