The Old Folks Home

Hi Kathy, wish you would show up more often.

Thanks, that's sweet of you! I'll try to come around more often.

I've unsubscribed from a few threads that have gone from perverse to worse. My subscription list is really getting short.

In the olden days(before new BYC) had many threads I loved to visit and people weren't so eager to speak(write) the unspeakable.

Plus a lot of the really good folks seemed to drift off and I have still not found them. :(

Quote: The one subject I cannot avoid is medication dosing... I'm not talking about how much one should give, cause there are often many acceptable amounts to give, but what grinds me is the flawed math and the way people come up with how much to give. Sigh...

How you dehydrating them?
I would love to get a freeze dryer, too much $$$.
I am using my American Harvester with the fruit roll up inserts.

1. Use a blender to whip the eggs
2. Dehydrate eggs at 135 for 10 to 12 hours
3. grind up the dry eggs in a blender
4. put the eggs back onto the insert and dehydrate for 2 to 6 hours longer
5. run them in the blender again
6. Store them in air tight bags--vacuum sealer or in canning jars with oxygen absorbers.

The eggs are supposed to keep for several years this way. We will see!
