I am not biased in anyway I have lots of favorites. But I think geography and where I live plays a large part of it. I enjoy a lot of Mexican food mostly Tex-Mex.

Geography here too. Mine is Baja Mexican.... Lots of seafood lots of Native American Influence Yaqui, Kumeyay.... and tropical fuits...

There is a big Chinese influence south of the border so lots of flavors were adapted both directions.

I'm from New England originally, and my mouth started watering when Kathy mentioned REAL fried clams (with the bellies)! man... they are so good, right out of the fryer with real tartar sauce. They're getting more and more difficult to find... Used to be a few "fast food" type seafood restaurants right down by the water along the quay in towns like Plymouth and Revere (and many others) where you'd walk up to the order window and order things like that. Brings back some really good memories.

Gonna take my daughter out for some buffalo tonight for dinner. Looking forward to some buffalo chili topped with fresh sliced jalapenos and a nice buffalo rib eye, medium rare

Baluts aren't that bad... a little salt and they tasted just like a boiled egg to me. same flavor and texture actually... I always taught my kids and their kids to try everything at least once. If you don't like it, fine, you don't have to eat it, but at least TRY it before saying "I don't like it". There are some things I wouldn't eat, just because... I'm no Andrew Zimmer. Maybe that's hypocritical, but sorry, it's all psychological. The first time I took the kids to a Japanese Steak house with the hibachi they were freaking... When it was all said and done they all ate everything put in front of them, and wanted more... despite starting out with I don't like it.

I wish I had parents like you... I entered the high tech work force in Silicon Valley at a young age, and my co-workers were a quite the foodies. Have any of you ever gone to lunch with a bunch of friends or co-workers and found yourselves embarrassed because most things on the menu were new to you? Well I did... lots of ethnic restaurants here in Silicon Valley, so I was brave and tried everything! Thanks to my friends and all of the different places we ate at, I can now say that I will try anything at least once.

I think I put on five pounds when I went to Boston! Buffalo rib eye? wow, wish there was something like that here.
