That would have made him about 14 days younger than my dad, who passed in 2013.

Yeah, I Love Lucy was (is?) a classic show. she was a hoot! Anyone remember the Gong show?

Since we're talking about old shows... anyone on here watched "With 6 you get eggroll", "The horse in a grey flannel suit", or "the ugly dachsund"? all movies, and at least 2 are disney (non animated) but very old and funny.

I remember The Gong Show.- the original version. I enjoyed it when it was just rather silly, and had some genuine talent interspersed with the other 'stuff.' But I'm afraid that the more 'regulars' they had on the show, the less I liked it, and it was always my impression that Chuckie was drunk. I remember one episode where at least every other contestant sang "The Way We Were" - or at least started to. As a running gag, it was funny up until about the fourth time, then it seemed like even the judges were just ready for the show to be over. They'd gong a contestant within seconds of hearing the opening bars of the song, then when asked why, they'd say something like, "Green shoelaces. Who wears green shoelaces?!"

But oh, yes, I remember those old Disney comedies . . . watching 'The Wonderful World of Disney' on Sunday night was big in our house, and we were especially thrilled when the feature was something that had been originally made for the big screen. Being a life-long horse nut, of course I remember "Aspercel." And Brutus, and That Darn Cat, and Herbie, and, . . . . gee, did Dean Jones do anything for anybody other than Disney?

Why am I suddenly getting a message about "The rich text editor is not compatible with your browser, etc."? Until just a few minutes ago, Google Chrome was perfectly compatible with the rich text format?

got it too and I'm running chrome and W7

Edited to add apparently at some point I've updated to W10 and didn't notice.

I'm also on chrome. What happened?

My DIL told me to pick the green tomato just before they turn ripe. Slice them and dip them in mixture of milk and egg then in a mixture of flour and corn meal mixed 1/2 and 1/2 salt when you take them out of the pan, I have never tasted any sour ones but to me eggplant taste's just like fried green tomatoes. We love them both. I also slice them and add some diced onion and bake for about a hour and a half in some butter and add salt.
