He couldn't keep his mouth shut...silly singing man.

I lost respect for him when he had Trigger stuffed........ and displayed in his museum.

I liked the singing though.

When I was a child I loved anything to do with horses Loved cowboy stuff as well

When I learned to ride,.... Not so much because of the stunts...

Tex Ritter was one I liked.... He was the "Singing Cowboy" and John Ritters father

I do enjoy a western immensely when I see that they actually know how to ride.

Some of My favorite Modern western movies.... Silverado.... Quigly Down Under.... Tombstone

I grew up on the old country songs and movies still listen to it today

Its funny I never had a real record player or radio of my own. and we didnt "do" music in the house. family wasnt against it just not into it.

I didnt discover music till High school and Country and western till the Urban Cowboy craze.... Fell in step with all the line dances and CW dancing. Then i fell in love with Blue Grass and Clogging.

I love all music From Blue grass to Zidego Abroiginal to New age...

I went through 2 buckets of pears today and got maybe 1/3 of a bucket of pears that were usable to can.

I made the light sauce but for each 5 cups of water I added a teaspoon of baking spice (has a bunch of spices in it). I also added a whole cinnamon stick and a star anise and let that cook while I dealt with the pears.

At the end of canning (I got 7 pints only) I had about 10 small pieces of pear left over. I put them in the fridge to cool down and just now sat down to eat them.

I learned how to ballroom dance before CW dancing. Did a little Square dancing as a kid but liked Clogging muc much more.

One step, Two Step, Fox Trot, Polka, Waltz and Shoddish... Mormon Boyfriend took me to a German place called Little Bavaria. Learned to dance to an Ompa Band complete with Lederhosen and Accordian.

Had the best time.

My favorite was the waltz with a good partner and a shoddish style dance called the "Bus Stop" or my dance partner called it the bus stop. Shodish step standing one in front of the other then as the step goes sideways you swing around and swap... always holding hands

YEP!!! I like watching Bonanza on Inspiration network too. Reminds me of sitting with my dad and older brothers being forced to watch it. I hated it until my dad decided to turn our black and white TV into a color one by buying one of those "colorizer" plastic sheets that was supposed to make it look like it was in color. You know the ones you stuck to the screen. They were green on the bottom, kind of yellow/brown in the middle (I think) and blue on the top. It was a hoot!! My brothers and I never laughed so hard! Hoss, and the hoss, would start our green, changing colors as he rode up hill until they both wound up a pretty bright sky blue! All accompanied by my crazy brother Chuck's hilarious commentary

My poor dad did not appreciate our sense of humor.
We also get the channel that runs all the old TV shows.

No one has mentioned HeeHaw or Green Acres!!! Loved those stupid shows. I still enjoy Green Acres. Oh and I have all the old Ma and Pa Kettle movies on DVD.
I liked Hee Haw! And Lawrence Welk.

I grew up with my Grandparents.

I also looked forward to Disney on Sundays. That was the best!
I've heard of the other shows mentioned, I've never seen them though...
