The Old Folks Home

Chickadoodles, I'm so sorry to hear about your rooster. I lost two favorite boys this summer. They really do leave claw tracks on your heart.

Sorry to hear about your rooster. It's almost a bit of a shock because one's not expecting it.
That was a pretty awful welcome home present for you.

I lost my main older guy this summer as well.

Thanks y'all.

My rooster was a Welsumer he would always ask for a treat to give his girls. He would take it so easy from our hands to give the girls.

Wisher we went to Chilatchee Creek the fishing was pretty good. We are planing on going back soon. It's only about 30 min. from the house.

Latestarter we are going to start doing more camping next month when my husbands work goes back to 4 day work week.

Well the past week pretty much sucked. DH arrived on Tuesday as expected with the dogs but our oldest Sheltie wasn't doing good. We waited a couple of days and it was pretty clear we had reached "that point". He wouldn't eat or drink. DH took him in to the vet Thursday morning and had him put down. I was glad I got to see him again and I was so happy he was with us when it had to happen. Fortunately the other two dogs are doing really well and adjusting to the new house.
DH also found out that the hoped for position back east hasn't materialized yet. He contacted the person he is supposed to work for and he told him he didn't have anything for him. DH was scheduled to go back to Utah for a demo and then after a week down to AZ for another test. Our old boss in Utah can keep DH working in Utah in between the two activities and can keep him in hours after but obviously that is not what we want. Hoping over the next few weeks we can figure this whole mess out. DH is already sick of being on the road.

Anyway, yesterday I figured after I finished my chores it was time to just do some sewing and decompress. I was able to finish up a fall themed pillow that I was working out the pattern for to share with SCG.
