The Old Folks Home

I just went through a scare last week. My Dr. graduated out of UAB so I could not even get the results from him. Stay positive God's got you!

The only Dr. office near me is UAB and it is a teaching hospital with all the student Dr.'s doing their internship here. I don't mind most of the time
but when the Dr. I have graduates it leaves me without one for awhile. Till I get back to pick one, then it's a first year and they have to be broke in.
hahhhahahaa

My mom has had cancer twice now. Endometrial first, found out after she "went into menopause" for several years then started her period back, they went to check and found the cancer. Then because they were monitoring her for that, they found the rectal cancer, really early and got it before it did much damage. She's officially been clean now for 5 years.

On a side note... Have any of you raised dragonfly larvae in the house? I have a bunch of them that were laid in one of my water tubs and I need to do something with them so that they don't freeze to death this winter... In a pond they would be fine, but the tub that they are in is too exposed and gets air on all sides and half the bottom so it freezes completely solid several times a winter....

@chikadoodles Gee my niece is going through her internships about
to graduate soon but have to admit I wouldn't want her as my doctor

i bet you could raise them in an aquarium it would be a very interesting progect for sure. they spend most their lives under water as hunters.... eating insects small fish and Mosquito larva. they go through incomplete metamorpisis and stay as a nymph for most of their lives.

Id share a video but some here see only the Ikk factor.
Here is a link.of a fairly young nymph

and another of an older nympyh looking more like a dragon fly

Dragonflies are really cool, and here in Florida we have a ton of them, however, I don't know much about raising them. Maybe a heater, like for a dog water bucket?

Went to the Dr. His office is going to call to schedule a surgical biopsy, not a needle biopsy. I'll know more after the lab gets done with the sample. More of the "hurry up, and wait" type scenario.

My favorite thing was lines... If you saw a line it was almost always in your best interest to get in it because the only time anyone would line up to wait, was for something good. Some of the guys I worked with would intentionally start a line just to get others to join, then they'd leave it... Almost as good as starting rumors by talking low in a public spot trying make like it was a big secret and being just loud enough for one or two others to hear it.

Sorry Clue, I know it's off the subject of your diagnosis, but though it might give you a chuckle. Hope the tests go OK for you.
