104 today... The Santa Anna Winds are blowing the trees inside out.

We are in the 80's today and high humidity. It drops tonight with storms to 60's tomorrow and lows of 40's. for most of the week. I love that weather but, not enough to make me want to walk a few miles. Walking cuts into my nap time and I have gotten so roly poly, it's major hard to walk anyway.

This should be the last heat wave for us. It was very nice last week but temps went up yesterday.

I am on hold while using a chat support widow with spring. I need to get a sim card to go with a used phone I bough from Amazon. The card is free form Sprint but you have to go to a Corporate store. Our store is a Franchise and the want to charge $25.00 for the sim card. Sprint will mail be one for free which saves me from driving to Sacramento.

It is weird being on hold in a support chat. They are even giving me tips four using Sprint.....I am ignoring them though....

I switched to Verizon from Straight talk. The money is the same but I get less data and when I go camping I don't get any service. Their customer service sucks big time.
I spent two weeks calling them every day trying to get someone to fix the phone bill. I was going to try their home internet. Wrong move!!! They sent me a 400.00 phone bill for a
service that was suppose to cost me 125.00 per month. Yet every time they said they fixed it I got another bill with a higher bill behind it!
Their new program that was suppose to be able to calculate the next months bill was tripple charging everyone!

That is terrible!

What I am doing is by passing the local franchise store. The Franchise stores must be charging more to cover the franchise fee. The sim card is being shipped from Sprint for free. I bought the phone from Amazon so I own it and will not have to pay fees for it. I am going to do this from now on. The "free" phones wind up costing me a bunch in fees and monthly payments. I read an article that said that the three big wireless carriers will no longer give you a break on new phones.

Chicka I love the woven design of that scrappy quilt. You gotta love it when you can use up the scraps you have lying around. I have pounds of scraps to work with.
It was a lot of fun having SCG come visit for a few days. Did the first "serious" hiking I've done since leaving Utah while she was here. We did get a laugh out of the one with all the warning signs. While there were areas you needed to pay attention, it was a lot less dangerous than other ones we have been on with one warning sign at the beginning of the trail. I guess Utah/Arizona figure if you aren't going to read the first one, why bother putting more along the way?

I already had my phone when I switched. The only reason I did is so I could get my son a phone while he is in job corp in Ms.
My son does not want verizon so he said after he get's a job he will send me the phone.
I will pay off the phone and likely go back on pre-paid so that I won't get all these hidden extra fees!

Thanks for the compliment on the quilt. I had some left over jelly roll strips and some scraps of some that I used last year for all the bags I make for Christmas.

I gave my oldest daughter my scrap bag she said she wanted to do some sewing. hahha she has not touched it. lol That's ok. I was needed some new scraps to play with.
I belong to several sewing sites some on FB. but several quiling sites. Jenny with Missouri quilt Co. always makes everything look so easy.
I sewed together 4 strips of jelly rolls and cut them in 8" blocks then sewed the blocks together with the stips going opsite directions and then cut them into 1/4 sections to make new blocks.
It was fast and fun.

We don't get anything where we live so we stick to tracphone, costs $30 for two months, triple minutes, data not much but never use it up, hit wifi where available, and texts I must have upteen thousands of them left. So often, it's ridiculous, have supervisors at work "I was trying to get a hold of you!!!" yeah, got your multiple texts when I got here, you do have my home # , we don't have service at our house....same with our kids coaches and school in general, dang, all everyone can do is text? Can't pick up a phone? Talk?

Hilarious, DD#2 gets home and pops the top of a pot on the stove and takes a big whiff...Just finished boiling vinegar sugar and spice for sweet pickles, Lol! Should've seen her face as she was dying of nasal burn, dang I'm a bad dad, super funny,

Thanks Beer_Can now you have me craving bread and butter sweet pickles. My mom had a fantastic recipe for refrigerator Bread and Butter sweet pickles. I don't make them mainly due to the fact that I am the only one who eats them but I sure could make short order out of a jar of V'lasic sweet pickles. LOL!
