Once upon a time I thought about raising and showing Miniature Schnauzers. I had a beautiful male with great confirmation. He would even stack himself naturally. Then I read about how hard it was to get the points need for that coveted C in front of a dog's name and how much travel was involved and my next thought was .....never mind.......

SCG I'm the same way. I don't mind snow as much but man I hate driving on ice with a passion. DH doesn't understand. But then of course he wouldn't....he's from Wisconsin where there is ALWAYS snow and ice on the ground....except in July.

Things are going up and down....


One BYC related thing... I put three dozen super fancy breeder eggs in the incubator... and somehow set the incubator at 99.2 (those dang numbers are so small...takes me so long to focus on them ) and so only one egg hatched.

I asked around on the local facebook pages, no one else had been stupid enough to hatch chicks in the frozen time of year... so I couldn't buy it any friends.

YAY! You're back... ish.

I'm hatching this time of year, it's the best time. Less chores, less things overall to do... and youll have POL in the spring. Now that's good reasoning.

All of the water hauling.... the do we have enough hay.... do we need to give them water AGAIN


The PERPETUAL hair pulling over the fact that we are too incompetent to keep lights on a timer... then cant remember to turn them on and off.. and as a result of funky lighting get zero eggs.


Luckily though.... with only one chick... I am thinking I can pop it in a parrot cage until spring.

That is what DD1 says. She really doesn't like being in cars. Of course we have no idea how scrambled our brains would get during teleportation.
